Workforce Development & Community Education

Sandburg’s Workforce Development & Community Education program offers non-credit lifelong learning opportunities with youth programs, workshops, classes, educational day trips and events to enrich lives. Workforce Development & Community Education program serves as the primary contact for all inquiries from the business and industrial community. The goal is to deliver courses that will enhance employees’ skills and abilities to increase business productivity. Training classes may be held at the college or at the company’s location depending on their needs. WD&CE offers a variety of non-credit courses, designed to give community members an opportunity to learn new things, explore interesting topics and visit unique places. Youth programs are offered in the summer to give students a chance to challenge themselves, inspire learning, and enhance their life skills while having fun in an environment free from homework and grades. Workforce Development & Community Education classes are available through Main Campus in Galesburg and the Branch Campus in Carthage. Class suggestions and ideas are encouraged and should be directed to Workforce Development & Community Education by emailing community@sandburg.edu.
