AGR 181 - Introduction to Horticultural Science Credit(s): 3 Lecture/Lab Contact Hours: 2, 2
This course is an introduction to the principles and practices involved in the development, production, and use of horticulture crops (fruits, vegetables, greenhouse, turf, nursery, floral and landscape). The course will also show the importance of horticulture in providing food and plant ornamentation; plant structure, growth and development; and environmental and biological factors influencing plant growth. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate - AA, AS, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable. (1.1)
