AUT 212 - Automotive Engine Repair and Rebuilding 2 Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2
This course is designed to equip students with comprehensive skills in diagnosing engine problems, executing engine removal, and conducting in-chassis repairs. Through focused study areas encompassing lubrication, cooling systems, intake and exhaust systems, cylinder heads, and camshaft and timing systems, students will gain experience in the study of engine repair. Emphasis is placed on mastering engine diagnostic techniques, engine removal procedures, and maintenance and repair of critical engine components. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.2)
