PCT 125 - Patient Care Technician Credit(s): 3 Lecture/Lab Contact Hours: 2, 2
This course provides the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behaviors) competencies to prepare the patient care technician (PCT) to be a versatile health care worker cross-trained with advanced patient care skills to function in a variety of patient care environments safely and competently. This course will assist the student to understand the needs of patients with acute and chronic conditions. HIPAA, OSHA, Violence in Healthcare, Mandated Reporter, and Medical Errors module trainings with certificates of completion provided in this course. This course is composed of 32 theory hours and 32 laboratory hours.
