EGR 252 - Dynamics Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of engineering dynamics, with a primary focus on the motion and forces acting on particles and rigid bodies. The topics covered include the kinetics and kinematics, Newton’s laws, energy, work, impulse, and momentum methods for particles and rigid bodies, the conservation of energy and the conservation of momentum. The course further explores linear and angular motion of a rigid body, relative motion, moment of inertia, and kinetics and kinematics of the 3D rigid body. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AA, AS, AFA, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.1)
Offered: Spring Prerequisite(s): MAT 242 and EGR 251 with a C or better General Education: Elective Only, Not Applicable
