This course introduces how firms operate and compete across borders in today’s interconnected economy. Students examine globalization, trade and investment, cultural differences, political and legal environments, ethics and sustainability, and the functional areas of marketing, operations, human resources, finance, and accounting in a global context. Emphasis is placed on applying concepts through cases, problem solving, and mini case studies. This course provides a strong foundation for students pursuing a business degree and practical insight for anyone seeking to understand the global business environment.
