EGR 121 - Engineering Design Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2
This course introduces the fundamentals of engineering design and computer-aided design (CAD) tools used in today’s engineering practice. The course covers graphics, parametric modeling, design process, sketching, drawing geometric shapes, dimensioning, tolerancing, multi-view orthographic representations, auxiliary views, drawing fasteners and springs, sectional views, pictorial drawings, working drawings, and assembly drawings. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AA, AS, AFA, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.1)
