KIN 146 - Physical Fitness 2 - Targeted Weight Training and Muscle Conditioning Credit(s): 1 Lecture Hours: 0.5 Lab Hours: 1
This physical education activity course is open to all students. It is designed as an open lab to accommodate each student’s needs. The purpose of this course is to teach the basic knowledge and concepts in the use of resistive exercises designed to increase muscular strength, size, and endurance (conditioning). Various strength training machines, free weights, and equipment will be available for use in order to develop more effectively one’s level of physical fitness and knowledge of weight training for the purpose of increasing muscular strength, hypertrophy, and conditioning. This course may be repeated no more than three times per student. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AA, AS, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.1)
