EMS 137 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Credit(s): 1 Lecture/Lab Contact Hours: 0.50, 1
This course will provide instruction in the management of cardiovascular-related emergencies and to prepare appropriate healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based treatment for a cardiovascular emergency. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be issued an American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider card. Students will use this course for both first-time certification and subsequent updated course for continuing education/re-certification. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.2)
