This course focuses on the clinical applications of controlling the dental hygiene patient’s pain and anxiety through the administration of local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide. The student will develop skills in the administration of local anesthesia in the oral cavity along with learning how to administer and monitor nitrous oxide. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate: AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.2)
