This course is intended as an introduction to computer applications in the visual arts. Students take a computer software-based approach to image manipulation and generation, including the integration of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices as tools to create and combine traditional and contemporary visual ideas as applied to art and design. This is not a graphic design computer course. This studio-based course includes appropriate instruction in the health and safety issues relative to the methods of the course and the materials being used. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate - AA, AS, AFA, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.1)
