AGR 151 - Introductory Soil Science Credit(s): 4 Lecture/Lab Contact Hours: 3, 2
The principle topics considered in this course are: the basic and applied chemical, physical and biological concepts in soils; the origin, classification and distribution of soils and their relationship to people and food production; and the management and conservation of soils. The laboratory portion of this course will utilize a combination of college laboratory and field trip experiences. Applicable toward graduation at Sandburg where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate - AA, AS, AAS, AGS, and Certificates where applicable (1.1)
